Alan Hirsch has been a strategic partner with the EFCA over a number of years. During the last several years, the EFCA has been offering training for developing leaders through partnership with key voices in areas of discipleship, leadership development and growth in understanding the culture and times in which we are all serving. This last aspect, entitled “Future Travelers” is the track that Alan has been leading. Some of our folks in the Pacific NW have partnered with he and Alex Absalom in this training.
We are excited to bring Alan to the Pacific NW District for our annual Leadership Conference! You will want to take advantage of this unusual opportunity to hear from Alan and to interact with him in several plenary sessions.
ALAN HIRSCH is widely considered to be a global thought-leader on missional movements and leadership. He has worked with churches and organizations across the world, but mainly in North America, Europe, and Australia. Alan is the founder of 100 Movements, Forge Mission Training Network, and the 5Q Collective. All three organizations focus on pioneering leadership development and training and consulting in on the church as missional movement.
Hirsch is the author of numerous award-winning books including The Forgotten Ways, The Shaping of Things to Come, ReJesus and The Faith of Leap, Untamed, Right Here, Right Now, On the Verge, and The Permanent Revolution.
His experience includes leading a local church movement among the marginalized, developing training systems for innovative missional leadership, and heading up the mission and revitalization work of his denomination.
Alan is co-founder of the M.A. in Missional Church Movements at Wheaton College (Illinois). He is also adjunct professor at Fuller Seminary, George Fox Seminary, Asbury Seminary, among others, and he lectures frequently throughout Australia, Europe, and the United States. He is series editor for IVP’s Forge line, and Baker Books’ Shapevine series.
** If you are a Pacific Northwest District Pastor, please plan on being present for this conference. In addition, we ask each Pastor to bring his entire leadership team in order to share in this experience together - and to process it after-the-fact. If there are other strategic influencers in your church that come to mind, please invite them. And finally, if you have relationships with other spiritual leaders in the community, we want you to open this up to them as well. We believe that this time together with Alan Hirsch is a strategic investment for each of us who feels the opportunity to influence the church of Jesus well in these times.
